Catherine mi puoi spiegare per cortesia qual'e la differenza fra "go to dinner" or "supper" for the italian..andiamo a cena? perche io quando ho studiato al liceo l'inglese..sapevo di breakfast..per colazione, dinner per pranzo e supper per cena..quindi..?grazie..
P.S. mi piace da morire" l'uffa" italiano..lo uso spesso..sopratutto quando la gente non capisce l'italiano e neanche il significato di uffa:)

We have a grammar section under the heading 'RESOURCES.' There you can find the answers to many of your grammar questions, as well as a basic introduction to fundamental concepts in Italian grammar.

You asked Catherine "Qual'è la differenza fra "go to dinner" or "supper" for the Italian "andiamo a cena" -- beh, secondo me --
--- "cena" is the evening meal. Whether you call it "dinner" or "supper" depends on where you live or grew up in the English-speaking world. I for one grew up in the New York City area and I say "supper." Catherine is from Chicago and midwesterners seem to prefer "dinner."

I have a question about one of the expansion sentences and the translation -- The expansion sentence and translation reads:
Non sai mai niente.
I never know anything. 1 (I never know anything.)
Shouldn't the translation read -- "You never know anything?"
