But, it`s not common that the loudspeaker interacts with u, this is an "ItalianPod trick" :-)

Ticket vending machine = biglietteria automatica

"Figuriamoci" is, actually, a commonly used word in italian and, litterally, can be traslated as "let's imagine" or "let's figure it out" but I'll give u more examples.

Hai vinto? Figuriamoci! = Did u win? Get out! (of course not!)

Non mi ricordo qualche parola in italiano, figuriamoci in inglese! = I don't remember some words in italian, let alone English!

Passavo molte ore in binari italiani, aspettando... aspettando.... aspettando.... e quando il treno arriva, va molto L  E  N   T   O O O O O O....

Il mio favorito treno italiano e la Circumvesuviana, che va da Napoli a Sorrento, attorno a Vesuvio, e si ferma a Pompei e Ercolaneo! Incredibile. Bel paesaggio montano e marino.

Che complicazione! finalmente, trovai la mia amica dopo 40 minuti e fortunatamente, il nostro treno era in retardo! (grazie trenitalia! haha) meno male, retornammo sicure a roma!

Though per piacere often comes off as slightly more formal, the two phrases are interchangeable. You'll hear people in the service industry (waitstaff etc.) use per piacere often, though both are acceptable.

Tone of voice is the the real issue. If someone says per piacere really sarcastically then it takes on a meaning more like "come on!" than simply, "please."
