Ciao tutti: This is well beyond my level but I enjoy the challenge. The moral of the story is missing in the dialog and PDF. I can get some of it but not all (I'll work on it more).
One question (of many as I digest this):
Why do you use the congiuntivo imperfetto in the first paragraph "... tutto cio che esistesse nel mondo,..." and the imperfetto in the second paragraph "... tutto cio che esisteva nel mondo,..." ?
Grazie!

Ciao user2048.
We use the congiuntivo imperfetto and then the imperfetto coz in these sentences both are correct ;-)

ire_ne: Grazie! I assumed they were correct.
There aren't many references as to why or how the congiuntivo imperfetto is used other than in the first part of a hypothetical (ex. Se vincessi un viaggio gratis, andrei in Italia.)
The use of the imperfetto in the second paragraph is easier to understand.
Ciao
