Frenchpod, Italianpod, and Spanishpod all are announcing staff departures. It appears that there is some serious house-cleaning going on at Praxis. What's up? Obviously all of these departures are no coincidence. Praxis has NOT been giving us a full account of what is happening. First the lesson cutbacks, and then all of our favorite staff are departing.

@nchristie I assure you there is nothing sinister going on here at Praxis :) The reality of the situation is that the majority of staff here are far away from home. In addition to that, many people made the decision to leave at different times, independently of each other. They all left around the same time because Marco, Irene and JP are moving on to academic adventures, and they want to have the summer to prepare before they do so.
Marco will be in a 2 year MFA program doing film studies.
Irene is in Florence, Italy taking exams for her master's certificate.
JP is moving on to resume his career as a teacher of romance languages in the US (he was a teacher for over 10 years before he joined Praxis).
I hope this clears up some of your concerns. If you have other questions please don't hesitate to ask. You can also email or send a PM to any of us (departed colleagues included).

I am so disappointed....first the cut backs...now...losing the most popular staff... What's happening? Will they be replaced by other people, or is this why the lessons have been cut back.
I think someone needs to start being honest with all of us that have already committed & signed on to this podcast expecting a certain amount of lessons & feedback.
If we are not satisfied...what is our recourse?? We can't get our money back now. We signed on thinking we knew what we were getting. A little honesty would be ok now.
Thanks
Shoshanna

Our publication schedule will not be affected by the departures of Marco and Irene. We are currently interviewing for new hosts.
As always, concerns and questions regarding user subscriptions can be sent to support@praxislanguage.com. I'm also available to talk/answer questions, so please get in touch with your thoughts.

Buona fortuna.

Marco and Irene,
You have both done such wonderful work here that it's impossible not to feel sad about your leaving. I'm not sure anyone else could have created dialogues as artful, and as witty as the ones in the Italianpod archive. Thank you!
I wish you both the best. I'll really miss you!

(By the way, I fully realize that I should have written "Ascolto ItalianPod" and not "Sento..." I had sentire in my head and didn't realize I'd typed it until after my 15 minute editing timer was over.)

I second Irene - thank you all for such kind words about ItalianPod. Our two hosts will indeed be missed, and the new ones will have some huge shoes to fill! Nonetheless the ItalianPod tradition will continue!
@lisaoh62 Thank you for your poem - I think you're the first to set ItalianPod to rhyme, congrats! :)

Hei, people, I feel so much too that Marco and Irene left, yet, Catherinem is awsome too. She's been doing such a great job too, and I'm sure she can handle it even being alone for some time.
Catherinem, I hope you not to leave this show too.

@altheachan
The system published two versions of this lesson. You should check out "On Foot." That's the correct lesson. "Copy of On Foot" is an error and has been removed.
