Ciao
This lesson did not load onto the "My Lessons" page nor the "My Archives" section for whatever reason. I was only able to access it by clicking in the "Latest Comments" section. Did anyone else have this problem?

Ciao tutti: I really like these fables from Marco. Great work and imagination. These also provide me with needed practice in past tenses and the subjunctive.
I was a little puzzled on first listening that the audio didn't match the dialog but figured out that the second paragraph is missing in the dialog (it's in the PDF and in the exercises).
Thanks for the lesson. (The weather here is too good for me to stay inside and write this in Italian.)

Con la fama potreste diventare ricchi, forti e dominanti se non proprio voi stessi certamente il vostro agente. Semplicemente conoscere qualcuno famoso sembra dare un gran sollievo. Negli anni settanta, le oligarchie anglo-sassoni sentendo che stavano perdendo il controllo, realizzarono che era più semplice e più fruttuoso incoraggiare l'individualismo piuttosto che combattere il sentimento di comunità. (In quel momento storico c'era una crescente cooperazione tra gruppi diversi che minacciavano lo establishment.) Perciò intrapresero una considerevole strategia di marketing per far credere alla gente che con un colpo di fortuna si potrebbe diventare persone famose. Quaranta anni dopo, grazie alla tecnologia e la recente tendenza a trasmettere "reality" ci sono molti modi per amatori di diventare famosi.
C'è American Idol, Britain's Got Talent, The Next Top Model, Grande Fratello, Survival ecc. La chiave principale è continuare a fare pensare la gente di te. Non c'è paparazzi? Non c'è problema. Oggi è in voga addirittura per le celebrità scattarsi foto nude usando i loro telefonini e poi comportarsi sorprese quando un "hacker leaks it" sulla rete. Che bisogno c'è di paparazzi quando puoi far sapere a tutti cosa fai ogni volta che vuoi su Twitter, Facebook, You-tube, personal blog o webcam? Madonna ha provato molto tempo fa che grande talento non è necessario per diventare una star.
Le gente che desidera cercare il proprio io superiore è anche fortunata perchè "gli esperti" hanno scoperto che fama e ricchezza sono perfettamente compatibili con l'ottenere un alto grado di consapevolezza. Per uno prezzo modico c'è qualcuno che te lo insegna. Medita su questo!
Io non credo che desiderare fama sia una cattiva cosa di per sè. Dubito che il mondo avrebbe conosciuto Salvador Dali se egli non avesse avuto grande ammirazione di sè stesso. E guarda Paris Hilton e addirittura Silvio Berlusconi e considera che tipo di mondo sarebbe senza le loro personalità.
