@tarotshmily I guess it's got a slightly negative tone: ti sento lontano corresponds very closely to the English you seem distant (your mind is a million miles away!)
The dialog in this lesson is a serious conversation. It's not a mean thing to say to someone, though. It expresses something closer to concern.

yes, ti sento lontano can only be said if you're speaking to a man.
if you speak to a woman you have to say: ti sento lontana

Ti sento lontano or lontana is said when a person is lost in thought, do you use it for objects like deadlines or simply saying that a team is far away from winning the premier league?

Ciao, in the last line of the dialogue, Carlo says 'E tu chi sei?', but in the audio it is 'chi sei e tu'. Does it matter which way it goes? Doesn't the audio version translate to 'who are you and you'?? Carol

I'm also confused about the question "E tu chi sei?" because the dialogue transcript is different from the recorded dialogue. Please explain. By the way, of all the Praxis Language podcasts, Italianpod is the funniest.

there's no difference between "E tu chi sei?" (dialogue transcript) and "Chi sei tu?" (recorded dialogue).
Different ways to say the same thing :-)
